मन लोभ्याउने सुन्दर मनाङ
मनाङ । हिमाली जिल्ला मनाङ सौन्दर्यले भरिपूर्ण जिल्लाका रूपमा परिचित छ। गण्डकी प्रदेशमा अवस्थित मनाङ प्राकृतिक सौन्दर्यले भरिएको छ।यहाँ पुग्ने जोकोहीले मनाङलाई हिमालभित्रको जिल्ला पनि भन्ने गर्छन्।
यहाँको प्रसिद्ध स्थानका रूपमा रहेको तिलिचो ताल, थोरङ्ला पास, आइस लेक, अन्नपूर्ण पदमार्गको यात्रा गर्न स्वदेशी तथा विदेशी पर्यटक आउने गर्दछन्।
चामेको तातोपानी, ताचैको घरबास (होमस्टे), कजिनसारा लेक (सिंगर ताल) लगायतका स्थान मनाङ आउने पर्यटकले छुटाउन नहुने स्थान हुन् ।
मनाङका हरेक स्थान प्राकृतिक सौन्दर्यताले भरिएको छ। तर मनाङको यात्रा सहज पनि छैन। यहाँको यात्रालाई साहसिक यात्राका रूपमा लिने गरिन्छ। साहसिक यात्रा रुचाउनेका लागि अनौठो अनुभव दिलाउने प्रकारको छ। मनाङमा नजिकबाट हिमाल, हिमाली हावापानी, रमणीय वातावरण, हिमाली वन्यजन्तु र मनमोहक छन्। जडीबुटी, फूल र जैविक विविधतामा पनि मनाङ धनी छ।
दन्ते लहर झैँ फैलिएका सेता हिमाल, स्थानीय रहनसहन, मर्स्याङ्दी नदीको सुसाइ, चक्रीय अन्नपूर्ण पदमार्गमा जाने पर्यटकका प्राकृतिक साथी बन्नेछन्।
पदयात्रीका लागि आकर्षणको केन्द्र हो मनाङ। प्राकृतिक सौन्दर्यको भण्डार छ। हिउँ पग्लिएर बनेका पहाड हेरेर पर्यटक लोभिन्छन्। हिमाल हेरेपछि दंग पर्ने गर्दछन्। वातावरण, रहनसहन, हिमाली हावाको सुगन्ध र एकान्तले उनीहरू प्रकृतिमा हराउने गर्दछन्।
सदाबहार देखिने हिमाल, खोलानाला र प्रकृतिले आधुनिकतालाई चुनौती दिएको छ। मनाङ तिब्बतको संस्कृतिसँग मिल्ने जनजीवन, बौद्धमार्गी प्रत्येक गाउँमा गुम्बा, हिमाली जनजीवन र स्वतन्त्र परिवेशमा रहेको भूमि हो। मनाङमा गुरुङ, घले, लामा, थकाली र तिनै जातिसँग मिल्ने वेषभूषा र भाषा बोल्ने गरिन्छ। यहाँ दलित, नेवारबाहेक अन्य जातिको भने बसोबास छैन। तर अहिले व्यापार र अन्य कारणले गर्दा केही जातिका व्यक्तिले मनाङलाई कर्म थलोका रूपमा लिन थालेका छन्।
नामकरण र इतिहास
जिल्लाको सबैभन्दा ठूलो गाउँ मनाङबाट नै जिल्लाको नामकरण भएको पाइन्छ। मनाङ शब्द तिब्बती भाषाको ‘म्हनाङ्’ शब्दबाट अपभ्रंश भएर आएको मानिन्छ। तिब्बती भाषामा ‘म्ह’को अर्थ सहायता र ‘नाङ’को अर्थ देऊ भन्ने हुन्छ। विकट भौगोलिक परिवेशमा रहेको र बाह्य सहायताविना जनजीवन अतिकष्टकर रहेको भन्ने अर्थमा बुझ्नुपर्ने हुन्छ ।
सन् १७८१ मा रणबहादुर शाहको शासनकालमा नेपाल राज्यमा एकीकरण हुनुअघि यो जिल्ला लमजुङ राज्यकै एक अंगका रूपमा रहेको थियो। पछि यस जिल्लालाई पश्चिम ३ नं गोश्वाराअन्तर्गत पोखरास्थित बडाहाकिममार्फत राखी प्रशासन सञ्चालन गरियो। विसं २०१८ मा नेपाललाई १४ अञ्चल ७५ जिल्लामा विभाजन गर्दा गण्डकी अञ्चलअन्तर्गत एउटा छुट्टै जिल्लाका रूपमा स्थापित भएको हो।
त्यतिबेला मनाङको सदरमुकाम लमजुङ जिल्लाको बाहुनडाँडामा राखियो। बाहुनडाँडा मनाङ जाने मार्गमा पर्दछ। मनाङबाट प्रतिनिधित्व गर्ने पञ्च नेता पनि लमजुङबाट मनोनीत हुन थाले। मनाङवासीलाई यो भूमि नेपाल हो। तपाईं नेपाली हुनुहुन्छ । त्यसैले अब तपाईंले नेपाल सरकारको ऐन नियम पालना गर्नुपर्दछ भन्ने कुरा सिकाउनुप¥यो ।
लामो समयपछि तल्लो भेगका मनाङवासी सरकारको कुरामा सहमत भएपछि बल्ल सदरमुकाम मनाङ जिल्लाको थोँचेमा सारिएको थियो।
सदरमुकाम थोँचेमा रहे पनि उपल्लो मनाङेले पूर्णरुपले सरकारलाई समर्थन गरेनन्। पछि राजा महेन्द्रले मनाङ जिल्लाको भ्रमण गरी उपल्लो मनाङीलाई तेस्रो मुलुकमा विनाभन्सार व्यापार गर्न दिने व्यवस्था मिलाएपछि थोँचेको सदरमुकाम अहिलेको सदरमुकाम चामेमा सारिएको हो ।
महेन्द्रको हुकुम प्रमाङ्गीको आदेशमा विनाभन्सार तेस्रो मुलुकसँगको व्यापार गर्न पाउनेमा उपल्लो मनाङका बासिन्दा मात्र भए । मनाङको पनि अतिदुर्गम मानिने नार र फू गाउँ एवं तल्लो मनाङका बासिन्दा त्यो सुविधाबाट वञ्चित भएका थिए । त्यसको परिणाम अहिले मनाङमा दुई खाले जनजीवन देखिन्छ ।
उपल्लो मनाङवासी आर्थिकरुपले सम्पन्न छन्। तर अन्य भूभाग अर्थात् तल्लो भेगका मनाङवासीको अवस्था भने सामान्य नै रहेको पाइन्छ। अहिले मनाङलाई चार स्थानीय तहमा विभाजन गरिएको छ। चामे, नासोँ, ङिस्याङ र नार्पाभूमि गाउँपालिका नामकरण गरिएको छ। मनाङको कुल क्षेत्रफल दुई हजार दुई सय ४६ वर्ग वर्गकिलोमिटर रहेको छ।
